Perfect Circle by Sean Stewart
A pathetic ex-punk rocker who sees ghosts works through his personal problems. The book got off to a great start; Stewart's writing style is reminiscent of Neal Stephenson, which if you know me, you know is a huge compliment. Hard edged (like the fishhooks in the label) and details thrown at you a mile a minute gave it a lot of promise. But the story didn't draw me in past the first few chapters, and in the end I wasn't quite sure what the point was. A fun read though.
