Sci Fi

The Speed of Dark by Elizabeth Moon

This fictional character study of an autistic man in a near-future setting. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, because it's storyline is really quick simple. But the author is extremely successful at getting you inside of the head of this individual. The important question posed is: are autistic people just like regular people but "broken," or are they just a different type of person which is not inherently better or worse than non-autistic humans?
