This is a fast-action sci-fi detective story with some series teeth. Elements of cyberpunk blend with more traditional sci-fi elements in a seedy, crime-ridden vision of the future. The most significant technological element is the ability for humans to swap out their consciousneses between different bodies - what they call "sleeves." Fun, fast, gritty, and smart - Morgan is not quite at Neal Stephenson's level, but definitely well on his way.

This is the first (and so far, best) of a series following the Kovacs character. Broken Angels is the next in the series.
