A Mathematician Plays the Stock Market by John Allen Paulos

If you have any stock market investments, read this book. Paulos shatters a great number of market myths that cause people to both waste their time and gamble their savings. It's not really an advice book, more of a framing of basic mathematic principles in a way that is applicable to everyday life. In this way, just like his other books. But mathematical misperceptions about investment are perhaps some of the most harmful. As always his style is fun and witty, so even if you find both these topics dreadfully boring, you shouldn't have trouble making it through the book.
